Amy Yeoh is a highly sought-after singer and vocal coach from Malaysia.
Upon graduating from Monash University, Australia with a Business degree in 2005, Amy furthered her studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Since returning, Amy has worked with some of the country’s most prolific artistes, producers and musicians including Malaysian Idol Jaclyn Victor and one of Malaysia’s top producers, Aubrey Suwito.
Amy is also a vocal coach who regularly coaches Malaysian musical theatre darling Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina. Amy was chosen to be the vocal director and lead singer for the highly successful stage musical, MadWorld, which had a total of 16,000 audience members over 8 shows. She was also the vocal coach for Malaysia’s biggest ever musical production to date, The Secret Life of Nora, coaching the likes of Puan Sri Tiara and New York’s Broadway star, Ryan Silverman (The Phantom of the Opera & Chicago). In addition to that, Amy is also an experienced vocal coach to school goers, teaching at local private and public schools as well as teaching children at Enfiniti Academy – one of the nation’s top schools specialising in developing musical theatre and drama performers.
Amy is an experienced performer, having performed at high-profile corporate events for companies such as McKinsey & Co., PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte and Ernst & Young. She is also a regular performer at Kuala Lumpur’s premium jazz venue, No Black Tie.
In addition to her teaching and performing career, Amy has several original songs under her belt. In 2015, Amy performed at her maiden concert. It was a successful sold-out concert that received rave reviews from audience members as well as members of the press. She recently completed her full-time course at the London School of Theology, studying Theology, Music and Worship.
Amy has also been heavily involved in her home church of 5000-strong members, serving in their music department for the past 26 years. She was a dancer at a young age and subsequently a backup vocalist in her teens as well as the choir conductor. Her last role before moving to London was the main worship leader for the past 10 years.
